The resort: Set in a broad, gently sloping valley, Davos is a large, modern town. It may not look like a traditional, cosy alpine resort, but the superb facilities and range of activities offered far make up for this. The town is very cosmopolitan with a nightlife to match. There are a fantastic range of restaurants and bars to choose from along with a casino. An extensive range of very fashionable shops will keep avid shoppers busy for days and for others there are a lot of activities, from art galleries to curling, ice skating, swimming, fitness training.
Skiing: There is definitely something for skiers of all abilities in Davos. There are a number of different ski areas and although they are not all linked, they each offer a good range of skiing. The main ski area, Parsenn, is linked with Klosters and boasts several runs of up to 12km long which are ideal for intermediates. Beginners have several slopes to start on from the town itself and advanced skiers can enjoy some fantastic off piste runs and short tours to Arosa and other surrounding areas. Boarders are well catered for with several snowparks and good runs. There is also a good range of cross country ski tracks and some great toboggan runs.
Davos is an excellent resort with very high levels of service throughout.
